It is a compulsory administrative and fiscal number in Spain. We have a service that manages the obtaining of this number for you.

The costs for the buyer of new real estate:

VAT on the purchase value (IVA). Its rate is 10% throughout Spain. The seller must transfer this VAT to the Tax Service.

The tax on legal documentation (“Impuesto sobre Actos Jurídicos Documentados” or IAJD). This tax is generated by signing with the notary and registering the property in the Property Register. The applicable tax rate is 1.5%.

IBI (Impuesto sobre Bienes Inmuebles)
It is the local property tax that affects each property as well as all the real estate shares held.
The rate is based on the city of residence. It is much lower than that practiced in England.
